Creating a Perk

Perks are the rewards your customers can redeem with their LTZ credits such as discounts, VIP access, or special offers. This guide walks you through creating a new perk in your Loyalteez Brand Portal.

What is a Perk?

A Perk is a redeemable reward that customers can claim using their accumulated LTZ credits. When a customer claims a perk, they spend LTZ credits and receive a digital certificate representing their reward.

Step 1: Open the Perks Dashboard

  1. From your sidebar, click Perks
  2. You'll see your Perks Status panel showing:
    • Total Perks Created
    • Active Perks
    • Disabled Perks

If you haven't created any perks yet, these will show "No perks yet."

Step 2: Click "Create Perk"

At the top right of the Perks dashboard, click the "Create Perk" button.

This opens the Perk Creation Form where you define what customers can redeem and how much it costs.

Step 3: Fill Out Basic Information

Enter the following details:

Perk Name (Required)
Give your perk a clear, engaging title.
Example: "Newsletter Signup" or "10% Off Your First Order"

LTZ Cost (Required)
Define how many LTZ credits users must spend to claim this perk.
Example: 500 LTZ

Description (Optional)
Add a short note describing what the perk unlocks.
Example: "Receive 500 LTZ when you subscribe to our newsletter with your work email."

Status Toggle
Keep this ON so your perk is active and visible to users immediately.

Step 4: Configure Advanced Options (Optional)

Click Advanced Options to customize how your perk is displayed and managed.

You can configure:

Tags
Label perks by type (e.g., VIP, seasonal, exclusive)

Auto-categorize or select manually

Step 7: Review Your Perks Dashboard

Back on your Perks page, your new perk now appears in your stats:

Pricing Strategy

Start with these guidelines:

Low-Value Perks (100-500 LTZ)
Small rewards that encourage frequent engagement

Mid-Value Perks (500-2,000 LTZ)
Meaningful rewards for regular customers

High-Value Perks (2,000+ LTZ)
Premium rewards for your most loyal customers

Supply Limits

Use supply limits to:

  • Create urgency ("Only 100 available!")
  • Manage inventory (physical goods)
  • Control costs (expensive rewards)

Per-User Limits

Restrict claims per user to:

  • Prevent abuse (limit to 1 per person)
  • Spread rewards (encourage trying different perks)
  • Manage recurring costs (monthly perks)

Naming Tips

✅ Clear and specific: "20% Off Next Order"
✅ Action-oriented: "Claim Your Free Coffee"
✅ Value-focused: "Unlock VIP Access"

❌ Vague: "Special Deal"
❌ Confusing: "Perk #1"
❌ Too long: "Get A Really Amazing Discount When You Purchase Something From Our Store"

Redemption Flow

When a customer redeems a perk:

  1. Customer browses perks in marketplace
  2. Clicks "Claim Perk" on desired reward
  3. Confirms their redemption (no fees for customer)
  4. LTZ deducted from their balance
  5. Digital certificate created for the perk
  6. Customer receives confirmation
  7. You see the claim in your dashboard
